On Saturday (5th October), I had the pleasure of attending Hutchinson Books’ Proof Party at Cheltenham Literature Festival. The (tea) party was to celebrate forthcoming novels from Helen Dunmore, Dea Brøvig and Carys Bray. The three writers each read from their new books (all of which are brilliant; reviews coming in the new year) and discussed their work. It was a fascinating insight into the writing process and you can read all about what they had to say on my guest blog for the Windmill Books website: http://www.windmill-books.co.uk/index.php/guest-blog-proof-party/
A new Helen Dunmore is always a treat. Something to make winter a bit more bearable!

It’s so good. I’m looking forward to re-reading before I review.

That’s ramped up the anticipation! I’m a huge fan of hers, although Counting the Stars seemed a bit of an aberration.

Counting the Stars is one of the few I haven’t read. I will be doing soon though. Planning a new series on here for the new year and Helen Dunmore’s going to be up first…

How great! I wish there was this kind of friendly, cooperative relationship between publishers, authors and reviewes in Spain. Not happening soon…

That’s a shame. Hutchinson, in particular, have been hugely supportive right from the beginning of the blog.
